We are rapidly coming up on the time where the BCRP will have
another meeting for you to enjoy. As usual, I have tried to
book speakers that will provide you with information you need as
an active Republican voter.
This month I am pleased to announce our speaker will be Ash
Wright, currently the senior Political Director for Land
Commissioner George P. Bush.
Ash has a long history of political activism serving as a
precinct chair at the age of 18 rising in the ranks with the GOP
serving as Political Director for the Republican Party of Texas
in 2008/2009. He is currently partners with Joe J. Williams
at Wright, Williams & Associates, a candidate advisor
team. Ash has worked on campaigns at every level, from
President all the way down the ballot.
Ash and his wife, Patty, live in Cedar Park, Texas with their
adopted son, Nathan.
With 2018 being a major election year, Ash's insight into the
campaign end of politics and his expertise in other areas will
surely provide you with a meeting you will enjoy.

In the last four months, I have tried to provide you with great,
and informative speakers at our general meetings. Last
month both the meeting and the speaker were cancelled due to
Hurricane Harvey, but we are picking up our meetings again this
month. I am really excited to inform you that
at our next meeting our guest speaker will
be RPTs own RNC National Committeeman, Dr. Robin
Armstrong. Dr. Armstrong is in great demand as a speaker
and it is such an honor to having him come to Bastrop County.
A little about Dr. Robin Armstrong:
Dr. Armstrong was born in Texas City and obtained a degree
in microbiology from Texas A & M University. He then
went on to obtain his degree in medicine from The University of
Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Having becoming a
Christian during his sophomore year at A & M, he has traveled
on missionary journeys to both Africa and Nicaragua.
He has worked with inner city and youth ministries
at his church. Dr. Armstrong has served in all
aspects of our Texas Republican Party from precinct chair
to being elected our National Committeemen and remains
a practicing physician.
I urge all of you to come hear this most dedicated Christian
and conservative Texas Republican. I promise you will not
be disappointed. And remember, all our speakers come at no
cost to us just to be able to visit with you.

Patrick L. O’Daniel, former Republican Party of Texas General Counsel and clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court, will be our speaker on Thursday, September 21, 2017. This event is free for members and $5 for non-members.
PATRICK L. O’DANIEL is a partner in the Austin office of the global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, where he specializes in federal income tax and municipal finance. Mr. O’Daniel received a B.B.A. in Accounting and Honors Business from the University of Texas in 1989 and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1992.
Mr. O’Daniel was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1992 and clerked for Judge Will Garwood of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court. From 2010 until 2017, Mr. O’Daniel was the General Counsel for the Republican Party of Texas and for 2012 and 2016 was a National Delegate to the Republican National Convention. In 2017, Mr. O’Daniel was appointed by Governor Abbott to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice and by Senators Cornyn and Cruz to the Federal Judicial Evaluation Committee.
Held at the First National Bank at 489 Highway 71 West in Bastrop, networking with fellow Republicans will begin at 6:30PM. The program begins promptly at 7:00PM. Light refreshments will be provided. While not required, advance registration preferred.

Our monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 26 in the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce Conference Room. The Chamber is located at 927 Main Street, Bastrop. The meeting begins at 7PM and will adjourn at 8:30PMor whenever our business is concluded, whichever comes first.
